“At its core, this industry runs on people.”
Last week was busy, fast, and full of great people. And it was the kind of week that reminds you how relationship-driven this industry really is.
One thing I kept hearing over and over: the best meetings happened in smaller, more focused settings. Fewer people, stronger conversations, and more space to actually connect.
That stuck with me, because it’s exactly how we think at XP.
We keep events intentionally small so you can build familiarity throughout the day. You’ll see the same people more than once, pick conversations back up naturally, and move from a quick intro into something more meaningful.
Everything is designed to support that. Your meetings, the showfloor, and the talks are all in one place. The average distance between meetings is about two meters (closer to the truth than most realize), so it’s easy to move between structured meetings, casual conversations, and sessions without losing momentum.
You can approach the day your way, anywhere from a fully mapped schedule to following the flow of conversations, with plenty of room in between.
We focus on the business of games, and you feel that in the room. On average, 47% of attendees are in decision-making roles, and that shows in the outcomes. Based on post-event surveys, XP events contributed to over $52M in reported deal activity last year (from a 10% response rate).
At its core, this industry runs on people. The ideas, the games, the companies. It all starts with conversations and the relationships that build from them.
With every XP event, our focus is to ensure that you get to know people. You see them more than once. Conversations continue, and over time, those relationships turn into partnerships, opportunities, and the work that moves all of us forward.
