About Tyson
Tyson is a Vancouver-based games lawyer at DLA Piper and member of the firm’s Global Media, Sports, & Entertainment Group. From one-person indie shops to AAA studios, Tyson advises businesses from across the industry including: developers, publishers, service providers, and platforms.
Tyson assists clients with drafting licensing and master service agreements; negotiating development and publishing deals; and advising on consumer protection, marketing, and privacy matters. Tyson also advises clients on studio formation, investment, and acquisitions in Canada.
An active member of the games community, Tyson is a regular speaker at games conferences worldwide and a proud member of the Video Game Bar Association.
